jai_the_wildlifer- my trip to Uzbekistan and the wildlife in it.
Now that I have introduced myself and how I'm into wildlife conservation and travel for solely wildlife, let me tell you about my trips around the world. So I'll go in the order of trips with the least wildlife to the most. So now the first trip I want to write about is:
UZBEKISTAN—A country located in Central Asia. Their wildlife includes Corsac foxes, desert monitors, and Siberian ibex.
But in the winters, it was so cold that thinking about going specifically to a wildlife park was not even in the picture, and most parks were really remote compared to where we were. So the only wildlife we really got to see were swans, ducks, and geese in a pond near our hotel and, most important of all, stray cats. They were legit almost everywhere. It was like in India there were a lot of stray dogs, but in Uzbekistan feral cats were everywhere. And all of them seemed to be used to humans being around, and most of them even enjoyed pats on their heads from passersby (including me); some of them even had collars on their necks. And I saw no rats or mice during my stay in Uzbekistan.
Other than that, Uzbekistan also has a decent bird population, like mynas, crows, and ravens. But yeah, I would say summer is definitely a better time to visit, as it’s a nation with lots of beautiful trees and shrubs, but in the winters they lose that vibrancy. So my final verdict in matters of wildlife is that Uzbekistan does have wildlife, but in the winters it's not that visible, but the cats definitely boost up the score. So my trip to Uzbekistan for wildlife in the winters is a 4.5/10. So what do you guys say, have I convinced you to visit Uzbekistan? Write it down in the comments below.
